- Indications: Spa day! Solo/girls day/couples
- Side Effects: Arrive early in the morning or later in the evening – gets busy during the midpoint of the day
- Daily Dose: this is a lovely spa where you can be clothed (except the aqua lounge) and enjoy the company you came with!
- Counseling Points: be gentle with the alcohol if you’re trying to detox, you can get rejuvenated with the saunas and hydrotherapy pools- a spa service isn’t needed to enjoy the facilities.. But feel free to book one, men and women’s lockers are separate, bring a bathing suit

Get ready for ultimate relaxation!! Balian Spring is the place you want to go to drift off for a day of relaxation. At reception they will set you up with you own wristband/key that gives you access to your shoe and clothes locker. This wristband will be linked to your account and this is what you’ll scan when you purchase food, drinks, and services. You’ll settle your balance at the end.
I’ve been here a few times- trips with friends (Ladies Day Out) and trips with Babe (Couples Self Care Days). Each time the services have been clean, modern and beautiful! Some of the statues actually very much reasonable the temples in Bali- I’ve been to Bali with my dad and I think some of my friends/guides from Bali thought I had returned when I posted photos.

Some other rooms not shown above include the chromotheraphy light sauna, the steam room, charcoal sauna, the cold room 🥶, a dark infrared room, and the media room. The indoor pools include a cold plunge, warm (different Temperatures) and hot.
The rooms (saunas, media room, aromatherapy room, workout room, etc.) are nice and clean. There are little open lockers on the outside of the rooms, to place your shoes, bags, robe, etc. You can bring your towel in the saunas to relax on and collect any sweat that may transpire. I would not recommend bringing your phone in the rooms- at least not for long periods of time.
My favorite sauna room was the Loess Room. I loved the heat and the darkishly illuminated interior. I also really enjoyed and possibly fell asleep in the aromatherapy room. The fragrance was light and tranquil. There was a light stream of water falling into a cloud hovering a little water pond. The mix of the aroma and the sounds are so relaxing you might just slip into a little nap too! People often read books in here or listen to music (with their headphones).

Food: make sure you grab a bite a Niko-Niko Sushi Eatery and visit Chef Dom – the sushi is so good and worth the short wait!! Chef Dom stays very busy always working on a roll! These are some of most refreshing rolls I’ve tasted – he combines unique flavors and rolls them into 1 bite!
The have good cocktails but they’re pretty pricey for the amount of alcohol and the line is pretty long to get the cocktail.
Me and babe really enjoyed the ambience of Balian Spring- you can sit on pillows and eat a low table or sit on at a regular table. The complementary robes and slippers were nice and comfortable and easy to walk around in and there were plenty of towels to cover up with or dry off with.
I got a massage on my first visit and while it wasn’t too great- the rest of the ambiance and services made up for it. Maybe they’ve improved or had some training.

We ventured to the outdoor pool – it was such a beautiful day outside! This was in fall closer to when they first opened (the beautiful picturesque view of the trees). It’s like a live painting that you’re apart of !
Each time I’ve been I’ve literally stayed a few good long hours to escape and just relax from the stressors of everyday life. The outdoor fire pits and jacuzzis are super relaxing and peaceful. They are nice and hot while the heated pool is warm even on a cold day. It’s nice to swim around and let the jets soothe your muscles.

Before you start your day and once you finish up at the spa, be sure to check out their showers… The water is nice it gets hot or lukewarm if you need that and they have soap, shampoo and conditioner ready for your use.
The toiletries are actually good quality. There are little shower coves, so you’re not exposed to the whole world if that’s not your thing ! They also have dryers for the swimsuits so be sure to dry your swimsuit and bag it up so it doesn’t get everything else in your bag wet. The check out process is smooth.
Would I recommend? Definitely, but may be for more of a special occasion now that their price shot up (I get it though- trying to keep the establishment classy 🥰)!
