We took a hike to Alexandria on Labor Day! We worked up a sweat and an appetite from the walk so we wanted a nice chill place to eat outside. The weather was great as it’s a little cooler than usual. We came across this gem on the Alexandria waterfront! I love the background story of the restaurant.. and how special Vola was to the community; Our server, Giovanni, told us some history about the restaurant which made me appreciate the restaurant even more. Giovanni took care of us and he was awesome! I had a passionfruit Mojito and (idk what cocktail babe got) in addition we had the grilled shrimp tacos and the bourbon glaze salmon… Delicious! and I almost forgot those oysters… My favorite was definitely the rotating oyster from Canada 🍁!! 🤤
Vola’s also has a nice happy hour menu including $2 oysters, $4 beers, $6-7 cocktails, and a few highlighted bar bites that are $9 or less per dish!
