BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse

Oreo pizookie
  • Indications: fun outing with friends, happy hour, after work bite
  • Daily dose: Great variety of menu items (if they are stocked), known for brews, burgers, & deep dish pizza
  • Side effects: short staffed, out of items, long wait times depending on the day
  • Counseling points: recommend sitting at the bar, go during happy hour (great prices), get the Oreo pizookie 😋- for chocolate lovers, Wednesday is burger day and Tuesday is pizookie day

Honestly BJ’s is a hit or miss. Sometimes I go and it’s awesome fun sometimes I go and it’s like what’s going on today. I’m thinking it’s a turnover with management and it depends on who’s there.

<DONT GET DISCOURAGED YET>

It depends on what day of the week you go too. I think their order doesn’t come in and they’re usually out of items on Friday-Sunday.
(So I would go between Monday and Thursday and try to catch their happy hour which is between three and seven promptly!)

I recently went twice but I used to go all the time after my work shift.
On my second to last visit I went with my friend Jazz for her birthday and we sat at the bar. It seemed pretty busy but our bartender was very attentive and tried his best! Our order got a little mixed up but they honored the happy hour price which was awesome. And he gave us extra ice cream an extra Oreo whipped cream on the Oreo pizookie !!
We sat and sung the night away and ordered one thing from each category of the happy hour menu… They have happy hour items priced at at $3 $4 $5 ~$6 (well half of a mini pizza). We definitely made a few friends that night lol !

The last time I went to BJ’s, I went with my boyfriend. We each tried to order a drink and they were out… 😢 (how are you a brewhouse and you don’t have The seasonal brew that you’re promoting)? Lol But they did have our second option! They also had cheese curds once upon a time, which is now off their menu and I miss them dearly… That was our absolute favorite thing!

Tri- tip (not on happy hour)

My boyfriend tried to order steak tips with shrimp scampi and they were out of the shrimp. ¡YIKKES! Anyway after we got our food everything went smoothly and our server was very nice. Luckily they have a cool option to pay online… So we didn’t have to wait for the check, we paid and rolled out!

*Some Happy hour items include: $3 chips and dip (guacamole,salsa), $4 brews, $5 call drinks (and wine I believe), $6 avocado egg rolls, chicken potstickers, half off mini deep dish pizzas (variety), and a few other things 😁*
